Barstons Child’s Play- Baltimore
June 18, 2012
I had a hard time restraining myself every morning in Baltimore, from singing out “Good Morning Baltimore,” a la Hairspray. Actually, to Grace’s dismay, I think I did sing show tunes from the musical far too much throughout our five mornings there. How could I not?
Aside from boats, history, and great shopping, we found the fun toy store of Barston’s Child’s Play! Located just outside the city centre, Barston’s is a family owned business that has been providing fun for the children of the greater Maryland, D.C and Virginia area for over 26 years. The Baltimore location was situated in an outdoor mall which had a sidewalk sale going on, so we were able to enjoy the beautiful Maryland weather and set up shop outside.
This location also led us to Jack. Jack is a Perplexus superfan! He has solved them all, and made it further on Michael’s origninal Perplexus model than any other person we have seen thus far on the tour. Jack also builds his own verisons of Perplexus out of Popsicle Sticks and Glue. We encouraged him to get in touch of Michael so that he could get some tips on how to become a master Lybrinth builder as well!
We loved our time in Baltimore and are looking forwards to the various Barston’s stops that we have coming up!
